IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING COVID REQUIREMENTS AND WAIVER FOR HORSE SHOW MANAGERS
Download PDF of SCHJA COVID Requirements

Hello everyone,
We hope this e-mail finds you well and appreciate everything you have all been doing to get our local horse shows back up and running! As we all work to figure out how to manage this "new normal," the SCHJA has put together a small committee to work on our COVID protocol for our local horse shows. Our task force has come up with the attached guidelines. Please see the following COVID Requirements and Waiver attached that will go into effect as of July 10 for all local SCHJA sanctioned horse shows.
We understand that it is every manager's right to run their horse shows how they see fit, but in order to retain SCHJA sanctioning, we ask that these guidelines be implemented and followed. The steward's report will be updated in the next few days to reflect whether or not an effort to follow protocol is put in place by management and followed by exhibitors. This weekend's horse shows will fall under a grace period as we understand that it may take several days to put everything in place, but horse shows beginning July 10 should follow SCHJA guidelines to retain their sanctioning until circumstances within our world have changed and we are able to go back to safely showing without restrictions.
Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can be of any help to you all with communicating, implementing or enforcing these policies. We truly hope this can be a group effort to keep everyone safely horse showing!
Thank you, Emma Fogler on behalf of the SCHJA Board
